1.Kakeyu
First, pour hot water over yourself. (this is called “kakeyu” )
This is a good form of sanitation to accustom yourself to the hot water and clean your body.
You should squat or sit down when you do this as well as when you shower.
|
2.Taking the bath
Do not bring your bath towels into the bathing area bring only a small long “hand” towel.
This towel is for washing your body, so you should not dip the towel into the bath water.
Usually, hot spring baths are large, but
you should not swim in them as it is an inconvenience to others.
|
3.Washing your body
You need to take rests and wash your body out of the bath to prevent yourself from feeling dizzy.
Washing spaces are for communal use. Please do not try to “save your place”
by leaving your belongings behind at any space.
|
4.
After you feel relaxed by the hot spring and are finished bathing, have some water and rest.
